A prospect clicks your ad, then dials instead of filling in a form. Unless that conversation is joined to the click, Google Ads and Meta bid as if it never happened.
No. A call-tracking platform such as CallRail does the swap. Its script replaces the number on your page with a tracking number from a pool the platform owns, and logs which visitor, source and landing page saw it.
Hyros takes the next step. The platform sends each call to Hyros, and Hyros joins it to the lead record that already holds the visitor's ad clicks and sessions. In Hyros's CallRail guide, you create the numbers and install the swap script in CallRail, then paste a Hyros webhook into CallRail's post-call settings.
Hyros can also match a caller by phone number. If that number is already on a lead, from an earlier form for example, the call joins that lead's journey even when it comes from another device. Call tracking is one piece of our full Hyros implementation service.

We use our own proprietary call tracking software that natively plugs into Hyros. It does the call-tracking platform's job and sends each call straight into the client's Hyros account.
That keeps every call on the same lead record as the click that started it. When a call turns into a sale, Hyros can credit that click and send the conversion back to Google Ads or Meta. How call outcomes sync as offline conversions →
Most mismatched calls trace back to setup, not to Hyros. These are the failure points Hyros's own docs flag.
When two visitors see the same tracking number, a call to it can't be tied to one session. Hyros's CallRail guide defers to CallRail's pool-sizing formula and names misattribution as the symptom of too few numbers.
If the script doesn't load, visitors see your real number and their calls carry no session. Hyros has you list your real business numbers under External Call Tracking so those calls aren't credited to the wrong lead.
Calls stay in the call-tracking platform and never reach Hyros. The first test call should show up in Hyros before any campaign relies on call data.
A tracking number stays bound to a session until the pool recycles it. A caller who saves it and dials days later may be matched to the wrong session, unless Hyros matches their phone number to an existing lead.
A tracked call shows that a call happened and which ad led to it. It doesn't show whether the caller bought. To bid on quality, each call's outcome has to reach the lead record too: your phone system or CRM posts it to Hyros against the same lead.
Calls above a set duration are synced as qualified events.
Your team tags calls in the phone system and those tags sync to Hyros.
An appointment booked on the call is synced as the conversion event rather than the call itself.
The bidding shift this creates: syncing outcomes moves the signal from call volume to call quality. The algorithm stops chasing every inbound call and starts chasing calls that end in a qualified outcome, so cost per call usually rises while cost per qualified call falls.
In health insurance, legal services, home services, moving and financial services, the phone is often where most of the revenue arrives. An attribution system that misses call outcomes there misses most of the revenue data.
This is why we build the phone tracking integration before we enable offline conversion sync for these clients. Syncing form fills as the primary conversion signal when phone calls are the primary revenue source trains the algorithm on the wrong event. The bidding improvement from Hyros comes from teaching the algorithm where revenue actually comes from. How call data lifts attribution accuracy →
Over 75% of conversions came through Google call extensions rather than web forms. Building an accurate call attribution system was the prerequisite to scaling ad spend.
Read Case StudyDaily spend went from $5K before to $100K+ after. Call attribution infrastructure was the prerequisite to this scale. Form fill data alone would not have supported this bidding strategy.
Read Case StudyHyros doesn't replace the call-tracking platform. The platform still swaps the numbers; Hyros adds the lead record around each call.
| Capability | Platform alone | Platform + Hyros |
|---|---|---|
| Number swapping and the number pool | Yes | Yes, still run by the platform |
| Call tied to an ad click | The session that saw the number | That session plus the lead's full click history |
| Calls, web sessions and CRM events in one record | Separate systems | One lead record in Hyros |
| Conversions sent back to Google Ads and Meta | Through each vendor's own integrations | Matched in Hyros and sent from there |

LGG Media has been building Hyros call attribution infrastructure since 2019. If phone calls are a significant part of your conversion volume and you are not attributing them back to the ad clicks that generated them, your bidding algorithm is working on incomplete data.
